Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 08:49:12 PM PDT

Just up on the UK's Daily Telegraph. Toby Harnden, the Telegraph's US Editor, has just reported on his blog that Obama is in negotiations with Hillary, and the talk is of retiring her campaign debt.

Washington Post 1993: "Mickey Kantor Comment About the People of Indiana"

Fri May 02, 2008 at 01:14:01 PM PDT

As an historian, I find today's so-called scandal about D. A. Pennebaker's film "The War Room" interesting, to say the least. I have no interest in pursuing this in regards to the Obama or Clinton campaign that is going on right now. I am interested, however, in the whatever truth there is in regards to the actual film clip, and the response to it at the time of its release back in 1993.

Barack Obama Video by Cocoa Tea

Mon Apr 21, 2008 at 03:01:00 PM PDT

Here's a great tribute song to Barack Obama by Jamaican reggae artist Cocoa Tea. The 7" vinyl single came out about a week ago and sold out almost immediately.

Caution: This is a very catchy tune and it will get stuck in your head.

Happy Monday to everyone!

ACTION ALERT: Tim Russert Pushes Obama Pledge Lie. Who Will Call Him on This?

Sun Apr 20, 2008 at 12:14:20 PM PDT

Josh Marshall posted this over at Talking Points Memo a few minutes ago. It bears repeating until this blatant smear gets shut down.

"I think pretty much everyone knows now that that picture of Barack Obama with his hands at his sides that's been making the rounds of the right wing sites actually wasn't taking during a recitation of the pledge of allegiance. So why does Tim Russert repeat this canard on national TV?"

Neidermeyer to Flounder: Is That a PLEDGE PIN!?!

Thu Apr 17, 2008 at 10:49:50 AM PDT

Once again Obama's patriotism is being questioned because he doesn't always wear a flag lapel pin. It's frustrating to have to watch this non-issue be brought up over and over again. Do you ever find yourself having ideas, but not the skills to make them real? I'm kinda new to this diary thing, so my apologies if I'm off-base here. Any YouTube wizards out there?

Kentucky Republicans Play the "Boy" Card

Mon Apr 14, 2008 at 03:39:38 PM PDT

Gotta love those Kentucky good ol' boys! As has been pointed out elsewhere today, Northern Kentucky's 4th Congressional District Lincoln Day Dinner, that was held on Saturday night, was full of pot-shots taken at Hillary and Obama.

Bitter and Angry in Rural Pennsylvania: Obama's Reality vs. Hillary's Fantasy

Sat Apr 12, 2008 at 03:47:47 PM PDT

Maybe there aren't many Bubbas driving around in pickup trucks with the classic bumper sticker "God, Guns and Guts Made America Free"  where Obama's detractors live, but here in rural Pennsylvania that line may as well replace "e pluribus unum" as the motto on the national currency.
